Secret-The End of the Road ©2014 Melodic Rock Records
Very good melodic rock release that features good rocking stuff all the way to very melodic lighter songs. What Secret offers is stellar musicianship along with great songwriting. There are albums in my collection that I go back to consistently due to the great collection of memorable songs and in my opinion, this will be one of those albums. For fans looking for more intensity, this may not be for you, but for those who like a solid rock record that is all killer and no filler, this album will make a great addition to your collection. Good job Secret, this is a very easy Recommend! Solid!

Lord Volture-Will to Power ©2014 Mausoleum Records
Out of the Netherlands comes this power metal band that in my opinion offers it up similar to Iron Maiden and Iced Earth. The album is pretty consistent as in the tempo throughout is similar. Musicianship is decent as is the accessibility of the songwriting. The band is no stranger to having great guests on their albums. Chris Poland makes a showing on 'Will to Power'. Fans will remember him from his days with Megadeth. The album is a good listen and obviously geared more towards a power metal audience. If you like any of the above mentioned bands, Lord Volture should appeal to you.

Adelitas Way-Stuck ©2014 Virgin Records
Latest offering from Adelitas Way is pretty good. I have to be honest. First listen through didn't grab me like the previous album 'Home School Valedictorian'. This album became more of a grower and I feel the last half of the album is a bit stronger than the first half. This album has some very good melodic sounds on it such as 'Undivided' which is my personal favorite. The heavier tracks such as 'Dog on a Leash' as well as quite a few others are okay, but the album feels like it is lacking its track like 'Sick'. No big complaints. I just look at this one as a grower as I like this band.

Theory of a Deadman-Savages ©2014 Roadrunner Records
Really like this band. Just something very cool about the way they put their music together. Good humor always seems evident somewhere on the album although in ways this album seems to be a bit darker. Nonetheless, pretty happy with what is offered on 'Savages'. I liked the guest appearance of Alice Cooper on the title track as well. His familiar voice always seems like a good enhancement. Overall, the album is what fans would expect for the most part. Mostly heavy stuff with a bit of a modern edge. 'Livin My Life Like a Country Song' features Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts. Good record!

Kix-Rock Your Face Off ©2014 Corksniffer Music
Been listening to Kix for a very long time now. What I like about the bands latest record is the fact that it sounds so classic. All of the elements that made a great Kix record are here. Good riffs, harmonica, etc. While this may not reach the heights of the bands debut, this is still a really cool record. To me, Steve's voice sounded a bit different in places, but this band for the most part is giving the fans exactly what they want. A good record that doesn't try to be something it's not. It's a basic hard rock record with all of the grooves the band is known for. Been a long time, but here it is folks. Good to have you back!
